Just to say that there are still entry slots in the Bristol tri on the 22nd August 2010. With the course being staged in the middle of Bristol this is one not to be missed. The organisers have also recently been granted permission to hold a draft LEGAL wave which will be a new experience for most.
Please see the race details below:
The Bristol City Centre Triathlon on the 22nd August 2010 has been granted permission by the British Triathlon Federation to run a drafting legal wave. The sprint distance race is being organised as a pilot race for a much larger standard distance event in 2011.
As part of this process Bristol and District Triathletes are putting on a drafting legal wave to test this aspect of the event. The race has the opportunity for athletes to race on fully closed public road and does not start until 12 Noon. The drafting legal wave will include a maximum of 30 who will be invited to race from the main race entry list. Athletes will be vetted based on standards and experience .
The race will be subject to ITU guidelines and athletes must first enter the race and submit a request to the club for inclusion. The race web site is www.tribristol.org .

Offer athletes the opportunity to become a GMF ambassador. All you have to do is sign up 10 friends and you get to race for free as well as some other incentives that will be released shortly.
Provide athletes with a free pasta party.
Provide all athletes and supporter with refreshments directly from the race location.

Offer a cash prize if you beat this years winner Lee Rankin, if not Lee will keep the pot!! Chase that English Hare!!
Include fun childrens races in the race field and create a family day out with a BBQ and music throughout the day.
Start and finish the run in the race field and include a section out toward Worms Head to show off the area to its full potential.
