		<description>hi kip
i hope you have recovered from your race ready for the new season.reading you article reminded me of my very first tri,(the old exclibar olympic size one in 1998) which was in port eynon also, everythng you wrote was so reminiscent of my race, i also came last! i had,nt trained in the sea or in a wetsuit,(what a shock that was!!),i swapped bikes the night before the race, (big mistake!).and i half ran and half walked the run leg. the marshells were great. i was 36 yrs old at the time, and just before the race i was introduced to man called mike,he was in his early to mid fifties,he not only finished well before me,but ran back to meet me about about a mile from home, and accompanied me to the last stretch, as we reached the last corner,he told me,&quot;chest out, belly in and smile, when you round the corner&quot;, and like you, there were loads of people clapping and cheering, and found it overwhelming, i to was a TRIATHLETE,i have done a few sprints over the years and look forward to doing the mumbles and llanelli tri&#039;s this year..
   good luck for coming season
